San Francisco Paper Cut
This video is courtesy of www.famillesummerbelle.com there are many other examples of their beautiful cutwork on the website above; along with their beautiful prints.
This is an amazing piece of cut work and inspirational for my work, I love to include cutwork into my sketchbooks and drawing boards and to see it on such a large and intricate scale is very inspiring!

Digital Prints...
These prints were created for a digital print project, the brief was "Bloom" and I used my own photographs of the florals in my garden. From those photographs drew the motifs which turned into these prints! I feel the mixture of colours has worked really well and has created a vibrant and fun collection.

Surface design in ceramics...
I have recently signed up for a 6 week course in ceramics, we are looking at the application of surface design on clay. So far the course has been really helpful and interesting, using a different surface to apply pattern to has allowed me another avenue for my work. I have decided to take forward my futuristic motifs to apply to the clay and have used cutwork, slip trails and scrafito.

hot off the press!
Just received the photographs of the futuristic project from Aaron Adlington, a local student photographer, and they look amazing and my model Hannah also looks very robotic!
Mini digital print project...
Using the mixed print trend i have been asked to create a group of digital prints as part of a mini project which i will complete alongside my other college projects. I have added the mood board of my mixed print research in the fashion industry.
Futuristic photo shoot!
I decided the perfect place to summarise my project and display my garment would be a scrap yard, i wanted to explore the mechanical/robot theme further. It proved very successful! Watch this space for the final photographs!
